A large specialist school in High Wycombe has an exciting opportunity for an experienced teaching assistant to provide specialist support to pupils with Autism and behavioural needs.

This is a full-time position to start asap or from January 2021.

You will be joining an all through school so will benefit from working with all year groups.

As the successful candidate you will have recent experience of working within a school or in a healthcare background. It is also desirable if you are Makaton trained or have experience using PECs.

You will benefit from working in small class sizes with a high staff ratio. The school also has an established and supportive senior leadership team.

Due to a high number of vulnerable pupils, you will need to possess strong behaviour management, be confident in building rapport and pupil engagement as well having a strong character and resilience.

Team Teach or MAPPA training is also desirable however not essential
