Our client is looking to recruit a full time Service Change Manager (on a 12 month contract), with flexible/part time hours considered for the right candidate.
Working within the healthcare sector this role will be supporting and improving access to Psychological Therapies as well as producing an overall strategy on staff well-being and leadership development (In addition to supporting staff working remotely).
This is part of a joint project between and will entail working with all service leads across the Thames Valley and Milton Keynes. You will be working closely with different mental health services.
Whether you have come from a medical or non-medical background, they are looking for someone with compassion, enthusiasm, motivation and who works well as part of a team. You will be expected to be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of how mental health services operates and you must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
£45,753.00 – £51,668.00 (per annum) D.O.E.
Responsibilities
* Designing/delivering service changes and initiatives related to staff well-being
* Evaluating/testing specific initiatives to support the well-being of staff working remotely
* Identifying/exploring cultural issues (whether supporting or hindering staff well-being), working towards an agreed set of principles/behaviours
* Acting as an expert resource, sharing best practice across the service, transferring expert skills/knowledge through a variety of communication channels
* Negotiating/developing/agreeing key deliverables with key stakeholders, ensuring all activities meet operational/strategic objectives
* Designing/agreeing evaluation and performance monitoring arrangements
* Contributing to the development of knowledge management processes/systems, maximising spread of change initiatives
* Applying a developed level of analytical/judgement skills to facilitate positive results, including effective negotiating/influencing skills, data collection, complex analysis and validation
* Negotiating and agreeing priorities/deliverables/timescales for the staff well-being project, ensuring work is delivered on time and to agreed standards
* Overseeing the tracking of progress against plans/milestones, ensuring appropriate processes are in place to flag issues, risks and concerns
* Other ad-hoc duties (as and when required)
Requirements
* Educated to degree level (post graduate qualification in healthcare or business or project management)
* Experience of project management/operational management
* Proficient in the use of ICT (in particular Microsoft Office)
* Ability to demonstrate knowledge/understanding of how Psychological Therapies services operates, as well as demonstrating knowledge of undertaking research
* Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), with the ability to communicate with staff/public at all levels (with good negotiation/influencing skills)
* Ability to analyse/judge/report on complex and sensitive data (being numerate aware) and with the ability to prepare written reports within tight deadlines
* Good problem solving skills, with the ability to find creative solutions to problems
* Ability to manage own workload, making informed decisions with complex information
* Willingness to travel between sites and to regional meetings (when required)
