Trainee Quantity Surveyor, Buckinghamshire
Up to £25,000 plus benefits
This leading interiors specialist sub-contractor in London, offering the complete design, supply and installation of integrated partitions and ceilings are looking to expand their commercial team, with the appointment of a Trainee level Quantity Surveyor. They seek someone with a liitle pratical experience who has worked for a sub-contractor for 6 to 12 months, who is ambitious and dynamic and looking for a start in their career. They are also keen tp secure someone who has recenlty graduated and secured a degree in Quantity Surveyong or Commercial Managenemnt.
Reporting to the Senior QS, your role will be to assist the project team under close supervision with commercial functions on a number of current prestigious projects. Duties will include:
assisting in all aspects of the financial control of the project
valuations
variations
measurements
cost reports
attending meetings
ensuring that adequate cost monitoring and management is undertaken
co-ordinate and agree the production of final accounts with various parties
ensure that project approvals and completions can be obtained at the required times
Required Attributes and Experience
The ideal Trainee Quantity Surveyor will have the right attitude and approach and have some practical exposure to construction and sub contractors and recently completed their studies.
You will have a focused attitude, and excellent communication skills and must be able to work as part of a team and possess a high level of motivation. Ideally you will also have a degree.
The salary will be dependant on level of exposure to industry and can go beyond the stated level above for first class individuals. Bonus and additional benefits also make up the package. The group are a recognised performer in industry within the sector in which they operate
