Technical Account Manager
Perm Placements Ltd are working on behalf of our prestigious European based client.
Our client is a market leader in sustainable wood repair and maintenance.
Job purpose:
* Management, development and transfer of practical knowledge of the material around wood renovation in general and the company developed System in particular to grow the area and turnover and to deliver a high level of customer service.
Main responsibilities and accountabilities:
– Create own annual plan to fulfil UK business plan objectives in role
– Deliver training courses to contractors/ specifiers
– On site inspections and surveys for projects with thorough reports
– Complaint processing, logging and handling with follow up.
– Quality control of contractors work, highlighting where repairs are not adequate.
– Gaining new contractor users
– Develop opportunities for our training courses
– Work with distributor partners to develop business
– Project monitoring with Client and contractor
– Collaborate with colleagues to maximise turnover
– Ensure CRM system is up to date with relevant accounts and data including all appointments
– Training of new employees and help with induction process
– Provide case studies
– Social media activity to gain new contacts and relationships
Person profile:
Personality:
Tenacious, outgoing individual with ability and confidence to contact “unknown” prospects.
Happy to work in a team and on own – must be willing to collaborate with any team members within the business.
Specific job skills:
– Specialist knowledge (theoretical and practical) with regard to the creation and repair of timber rot in timber joinery and the ability to apply this in-house. This includes knowledge of paint systems.
– Good knowledge of the UK application sector.
– Ability to communicate and create relationships at all levels
– Excellent training and presentation skills
– Experienced in efficient work planning and reporting.
– Working to deadlines and under some pressure should not concern you at all.
Computer skills:
– Sound knowledge of MS Office suite of products, especially Word and Excel.
– Experience of a digital CRM system is essential.
– Ability to produce draft documents for internal discussion is desirable.
– Experience with CAD systems
Education:
You should hold GCSE (or equivalent) certificates for English and Maths.
You must have at least 3 years of relevant role experience.
