This regional main contractor works throughout the thames valley from their regional office. A contractor operating regionally and covering all building types of private and publicly funded building contracts, traditional or design and build. Their clients include private clients, public companies, local authorities, heritage organisations, hospitals, churches, schools and universities. Turning over in excess of £500m they have a great reputation of looking after their staff and further developing their careers.

The Role

The role is a Senior Site Manager with a bias towards industrial and retail new builds with a steel framed construction. Operating within a team, you will hold responsibility assisting the project manager on schemes above £5m or the possibility of running smaller schemes as a number one with a visiting contracts manager.

Additional responsibilities in this senior site manager role will include being accountable for value engineering the project, suggesting new ideas for cost and time effective solutions to get the project completed. You will have a relaxed demeanour and you will adopt a show not tell attitude.

Qualifications & Experience

You will be able to demonstrate a stable career background, alongside the experience of running a variety of cladding, façade and external packages. You will hold a CSCS card, SMSTS and First Aid certificate. Ideally the right applicant will also hold a construction related qualification.
