FRS-UK are actively recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a specialist subcontractor based in High Wycombe.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparing plans, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation
* Ensuring all incoming tender & quote requests are tracked and return dates are noted
* Review specifications for the project and analyse drawings for tenders
* Preparing quotations
* Have an understanding of how the preliminaries are compiled for complex projects
* Communicating with clients to the correct information has been received to be able to quote accurately
* Reviewing contract documents
* Handover of quotations to construction team upon receipt of order
* Managing and controlling the costs from the quotation stage, through construction to final account ensuring the profit margins are maintained
* Monitoring labour, plant/equipment hire, accommodation and delivery costs on all live projects
* Performing risk and value management and cost control
* Recording any delays/potential disruptions on projects
* Raising variations for additional works on site
* Completing the applications for payments for Main Contractors
* Providing advice on contractual claims
* Raising payments for completed works
* Preparing and submitting final account
Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience
* Have a degree in Quantity Surveying
* Have experience managing multiple projects, within a strong understanding of groundworks and drainage
* Be able to document and organise a complex stream of information quickly and efficiently
* Have good understanding of construction methodologies
* Have excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
* Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Packages, including Microsoft Excel.
* Full UK Driver’s license
* Be happy to travel to sites across the whole of the UK if required to do so
