MAINTENANCE OPERATIVE

Nursing Home

Wooburn Green

FULL TIME

5 days per week

£10.65 per hour

We are recruiting for an experienced maintenance person to work in our family run nursing home. We are looking for a confident and friendly person who can work independently.

In this role, amongst other things, you will be responsible for providing routine maintenance including basic plumbing, decorating and routine repairs. You will also be tasked with ensuring security is maintained and scheduled checks are conducted and recorded in a timely manner throughout the home. A knowledge of repairs and a good standard of record keeping is essential. You must have the ability to carry out minor repairs and general maintenance including but not limited to basic plumbing and decorating and be able to work unsupervised. You should have good interpersonal skills and be adaptable and flexible as required.

Your duties will be varied, and you will be expected to handle (non-exhaustive list):

General maintenance inside/outside

General tidying

Moving furniture

Assemble and de-assemble profiling beds as requested

Painting and decorating

Liaise with contractors ensuring all work undertaken complies with site Health and Safety rules

Repairs when identified and needed

Installing new office equipment

Health & safety checks

Minor plumbing maintenance (eg. blocked sink/toilet)

Other tasks as requested by management team

A basic knowledge of computer systems, such as Word, Excel would be an advantage

Benefits

£10.65 per hour

Enhanced pay for weekend & out of hours

Schedule:

8 hour shift

Day shift, Overtime

Experience:

Maintenance: 1 year (preferred)
