The Role – Installation Project Manager, Medical Systems
Following expansion, they seek to a customer focused and technically motivated Installation Project Manager, responsible for overseeing and project managing the installation of complex medical imaging equipment at hospital sites throughout the South East and Greater London.
In this exciting and varied post, the Installation Project Manager will be responsible for the preparation, planning and installation of integrated CT, MRI and X-ray Medical Imaging Systems, in addition to the integration of products and services supplied by a variety of vendors, providing ‘turn-key’ solutions for hospitals and healthcare centres. The successful applicant will organise and instruct all sub-contractors, on site, liaise with various internal contacts and external customers, including hospital departmental managers, the sales department and the project management department.
The Installation PM is an integral part of the Healthcare business, interfacing and forming key internal relationships with sales colleagues, customer service engineers, applications specialists and commercial partners. In addition, the job holder develops relationships with building contractors and business partners. From a customer and clinical system user perspective, the PM is the key contact from initial order to system handover. Need to communicate effectively at all levels.
Your Background – Installation Project Manager, Medical Systems
To be considered for this exciting role you must be able to demonstrate a strong background working in an installation project management capacity, with practical knowledge of the high value capital equipment installations. Applicants are welcome from Project Managers from a wide range of equipment backgrounds, although experience of the NHS, healthcare, medical device installation and operational hospital environments would be advantageous. You should be familiar with building regulations, structural design and electrical installations, with the ability to manage multiple ‘cradle to grave’ projects at one time.
