Café Manager

Permanent F/T – Mon- Sun 8am – 6.00pm (40 hours / week within café opening hours to include some week-end days)

Are you an experienced Assistant Manager in a café or restaurant ready to step up and take the lead on growing a thriving local independent café? Maybe you’ve gained your skills so far in an established franchise, and are now wanting to use this knowledge together with your initiative to take our family-owned café to the next level.
At the Vanilla Pod Café and Patisserie, we are passionate about giving an excellent customer experience, whether for a tasty cooked breakfast, one of our signature coffee and cakes, or a sit down lunch with friends. We’ve been serving the High Wycombe community for the past 4 years with ambitious plans. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to come and support our growth so even more people come to know about the unique experience we offer.

* You’ll receive a base salary of £23-26,000 depending on experience and a share of tips.

Your day-to-day responsibilities
* Managing all day-to-day operations
* Oversee and work closely with the kitchen team
* Coordinating and optimising front- and back-of-house restaurant operations
* Researching dishes and planning menus and pricing
* Weekly, monthly, and annual financial reporting, managing operational costs and promoting efficiency
* Work to company targets and KPIs'
* Maintaining standards though establishing and monitoring company systems & procedures
* Recruiting, training and supervising staff
* Conducting performance appraisals, setting targets, and managing the staff rota
* Keep abreast of inventory and ordering supplies
* Monitoring product quality and handling vendors & researching new vendors
* Ensuring compliance with licensing, health, and safety regulations
* Promote the brand in the local community through social media, promotions, events, and other marketing activities
