Brief
Senior Software Engineer needed for a well-known defence organisation based in High Wycombe who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Software Engineer that takes pride in their work with an in-depth knowledge of using Docker and Kubernetes.
The successful candidate would desirably have a relevant degree – i.e. Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computing etc and have a keen interest in Software Engineering. If you have experience in Red Hat/Linux that would be a plus!

What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the Senior Software Engineer will include:
Construction & Maintenance of the Software Development Environment
Collaboration with colleagues across the world to ensure the system is always available
Provide support to the application developers on an as needed basis
Linux Operating System configuration
Linux application management and deployment
Accountable for cost and schedule of assigned work
What experience you need to be the successful Senior Software Engineer:
Hands on experience of DevOps practices and tools
Docker and Kubernetes
VMware ESXi
Knowledge of RedHat OpenShift
Knowledge of Red Hat configuration including production of Kickstart files
Experience of Red Hat Linux application development
