Our client, an extremely successful law firm based in High Wycombe, is looking to recruit an experienced Audio Typist to assist in the conveyancing department.
You must possess strong audio/copy typing skills (with great/accurate speed), together with an excellent command of the English written language and with experience of conveyancing transactions (however, if you have an exceptional academic record, but with no previous experience, your CV will still be considered).
Full training on their systems will be provided as well as training from existing legal secretary.
Your responsibilities will include:-
* Producing/managing documents with care and accuracy
* Managing/maintaining client files in paper/electronic format
* Assisting throughout the court process by preparing online bundles, exhibits and other court documentation, clerking and taking notes during court hearings
* Spoken/written communication with clients/witnesses/various other third parties
* Attending to basic clerical tasks, such as photocopying/collating documents/filing/fielding correspondence
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and abilities:
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word / Excel / Outlook)
* Copy/audio typing experience / ability to type quickly and accurately
* Excellent attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
* Excellent time management skills
* Ability to prioritise own workload
* Ability to work independently in accordance with skills/experience gained
* General administration/office skills
* Polite/attentive telephone manner (essential)
* Ability to operate proactively/keep calm under pressure/meet rigid deadlines
* Understanding the importance and need for discretion
* An exceptional communicator with a high standard of English grammar and spelling
* Professional in dress code/attitude
