Orka Financial is working with an acquisitive PLC based in High Wycombe to recruit a Systems Accountant into their growing head office. You will be working in the Group team managing the Group reporting database, supporting monthly consolidations and ad hoc analysis.
Duties:
• Manage and improve the monthly consolidation process, to support both actual and forecast reporting, driving automation where possible.
• Manage the Group Reporting system, NSPB, ensuring it supports timely and robust reporting deadlines.
• Supporting month end, reforecast, budget and external. Ensure budget and forecast data are maintained in the system
• Support the import of monthly data from Group in UK, Germany, US and APAC with inbuilt reconciliation controls
• Develop reports from the system to aid month end reporting and also ad hoc analysis as needed, aligning Group reporting with our Global Power BI solution.
• Be the lead contact within the Finance team for system developments and liaise with the IT team, subsidiaries, and external vendors as applicable to resolve.
• Liaise with the system administrator (IT) for Group finance systems, ensuring that system permissions are in line with delegated authorities and approvals.
• Be the owner of the finance data reconciliation process
• Work with teams to understand, review, design, and document finance system workflows.
• Contribute to developing solutions to improve/automate financial processes.
• Carrying out training sessions and workshops to guide relevant teams
Skills and experience required:
• Proven experience as a Systems Accountant, with excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Experience of NetsuiteERP or Power BI desirable
• Ideally qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
• Experience of maintaining and managing Finance systems, including General ledger systems and control procedures.
• Experience of streamlining accounting processes, with strong attention to detail
• A self-starter who is constantly looking to improvement
• Experience with reporting consolidation systems -NPSB desirable
• Advanced Excel skills, with excellent attention to detail
Salary:
£45,000 – £55,000 + bonus + benefits
