IN2 Consult, Financial Accountant,  High Wycombe, £55,000-£65,000 – ACA, CIMA, ACCA – Housing

IN2 Consult are currently working with a charitable, not-for-profit organisation that puts our customers in the driving seat of their business, their finances have to stack up and demonstrate value for money, every step of the way.

The client are looking for a Financial Accountant ideally with housing experience to join their team. The role will be helping upskill junior staff and assist with treasury, Year end and various technical accounting quiries. An overview of the role is below;

Day to Day Duties/Background :

Experience in statutory and management accounting in a group environment

Provide excellent leadership to your team, ensuring that they adapt to meet the changing needs of the business

Support the Senior Finance Manager by coordinating the production of the annual statutory accounts for the group, scheduling the work of your team to ensure that the statements are prepared in a timely manner and to a high quality.  You will be a main point of contact with our auditors, ensuring that they are provided with all of the information that they need promptly

Own the monthly management accounts processes, coordinating the team to ensure that the reporting is produced promptly and that there are processes in place to ensure completeness and accuracy

Coordinate the annual budget setting process, ensuring that budgets are produced promptly and to timetable for all parts of the business, that they reflect the aspirations of the management team and satisfy the requirements of our business plan and funders

Lead the transactional team that ensures that the right suppliers are paid the right amount at the right time and our income is recorded promptly

Ensure that reporting to our regulators, HMRC and other statutory bodies is timely and accurate

Support the management of our accounting system

Ensure the resilience of the team by planning cover arrangements for absence, making sure that all key tasks are identified, and back-up arrangements are put in place, process notes maintained, and training given where necessary

Take a continuous improvement approach to the processes of your team, leading a project to review and amend processes in order to ensure that they are aligned to the changing needs of the business and that opportunities for smarter working and service improvement are realised

Desirable;

Housing experience
ACCA, CIMA, ACA qualified
Background within financial leadership
