An exciting opportunity to join a UK market leader on a temporary basis as a Lease Accountant specialising in IFRS16.

Key Responsibilities:

Determine the Income & Expenditure and the Balance sheet impact of the new leases' standards IFRS16, to ensure accounting is up to date and accurate for monthly and annual statutory reporting.
Preparation of accurate lease calculations and journal entries in accordance with appropriate lease accounting standards for the month end and annual statutory reporting.
Ensures that the balance sheet on leases is reconciled and review any reconciling items and ensure cashflow reflects lease usage appropriately
Prepare technical papers for internal use and to support the annual audit.
Prepare updates to the lease accounting policies and assist with the leases audit process.
Develop and implement technical training for key colleagues, particularly subject matter experts to build a higher level of general understanding of the key technical issues on lease accounting.Qualifications and Experience:

Qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAEW, ACCA or CIMA)
Practical, hands-on experience of reporting under IFRS 16
