The role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the dynamic finance team at Hovis HQ in High Wycombe. As the business continues to evolve, a requirement has arisen for an ambitious and driven finalist accountant (or qualified by experience) to join the team and support the weekly, monthly and quarterly management reporting processes. Reporting in to the Head of FP&A & Treasury, you will be responsible for the following:
* Consolidating both the financials and the drivers of business performance and preparing month end Board reports
* Business Partnering with Finance and non-Finance staff to add value in how information is reported
* Implement the internal and external reporting timetable
* Consolidate weekly, quarterly and annual forecasts, understanding the full P&L impact as well as Balance Sheet and Cash flows

The Finance team is an integral and trusted part of the Hovis business and we will be looking for a collaborative, positive and energetic individual to join our friendly and supportive team.
Ideal Experiences / Qualifications / Capabilities:
* Finalist/Qualified by experience with a good understanding of core accounting principles
* Microsoft Suite, intermediate to advanced excel
* Excellent written & spoken communication skills, with the ability to build good working relationships and influence others
* Clear understanding of core financial controls, with the ability to identify and propose solutions to control risks
* Demonstrable experience in process improvement and driving efficiencies
Desirable:
* SAP and / or System 21 (AS400)
* Development of large excel models
* Background in FMCG sector
