A leading firm of accountants is recruiting for an experienced Bookkeeper on a 12-month contract to cover maternity leave, to commence ASAP. The role will be based at the firm’s High Wycombe office and will include some work at clients’ premises, and some WFH may be possible.
This is a great opportunity with a highly renowned accountancy practice and there is the possibility of the role becoming permanent at the end of the contract, for the right candidate, if desired.
As Bookkeeper your responsibilities will include:
* Bookkeeping for around a dozen clients
* Management accounts
* VAT returns
* Double entry bookkeeping
* Occasional visits to client premises
* Accounts production would be a bonus, though not essential
Please do apply for this role if you have the following skills, experience and attributes:
* Have At least five years bookkeeping experience gained within a practice environment
* Good client facing skills
* Be competent with management accounts and double entry bookkeeping
* Statutory accounts experience would be an advantage but not essential
* Have good IT skills; Excel and QuickBooks, Xero and Sage would be helpful
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary, depending upon experience plus 3% pension and the scope to become permanent at the end of the maternity leave period.
