We are looking for an enthusiastic, ambitious Accounting Assistant to work alongside and support our Finance Manager here at the Technology Recycle Group (TRG). We are a circular economy company based in High Wycombe that offers mobile phone solutions including buyback programs and processing services.
This is office-based role is a brilliant opportunity for someone committed to a career in accounts.
Our new hire will be responsible for the smooth running of our day-to-day finance transactional activities including:
* Management of accounts payable and receivable
* Supporting the Finance Manager with the month-end close and taking ownership of all journal entries and prepayments
* Assisting the Finance Manager to complete the monthly cash forecast
* Managing the sales ledger, raising invoices and ensuring invoices are paid on time
* Responsibility for accounts payable & working closely with managers to manage invoicing
* Completion of the monthly balance sheet reconciliations
* Working with our accountants to manage monthly payroll
The ideal candidate will:
* Have excellent organisational and time-management skills
* Have a solid understanding of financial systems and processes
* Strong analytical skills to evaluate financial data and make recommendations
* Want to gain experience of working in a small tech company with the opportunity to expand and grow
* Be excited by the opportunity to take responsibility for key areas, processes and support
Required skills / education:
* At least 1 year experience of working in an Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable or Finance Assistant role
* Bachelors/graduate degree in Economics, Maths, Finance or equivalent (desired but not essential)
* Experience using Quickbooks or Xero
* Have started, or would like to start, studying for AAT/ACCA/CIMA qualification
You will likely have experience of working in an account’s assistant role, or finance assistant role
