Our client is a well-established engineering company that manufactures products used within the automotive sector. Due to growth they are looking to take on either a Senior Quality Engineer or Quality Manager.

The Role:

My client is seeking an experienced and dynamic quality professional for the day-to-day management of their quality engineering department, monitoring production, measuring and testing goods received/produced.

Promoting and implementing quality and continuous improvement through the organisation.

To develop and implement our quality methods and practices to achieve excellent standards.

Advise on Quality Assurance system changes and implement where necessary.

Proactive approach to problem solving and corrective actions.

Establish and implement the necessary communication for the improvement and awareness of quality issues across all departments and drives the necessary changes.

Required Skills and Experience:

A working knowledge of ISO 9001 as a minimum. Ideally working knowledge of VDA 6 or TS16949

Knowledge of and comfortable using QA tools such as FMEA, SPC, 5-Why, 8D Methods, Problem Solving etc

Internal Auditing experience

Working knowledge of PPAP’s

Mechanical engineering background

Comfortable with problem solving

Knowledge of measuring equipment (CMM/Keyence) is useful

Management experience is an advantage

The Package: Offering from £40,000 to £60,000 per annum
