In this role you will have to manage the Quality Assurance and Site Food Safety activity at the Haddenham Plant. You will pro-actively lead the Quality & Food Safety Management Programmes in the Haddenham Plant thus ensuring compliance with Company, Regulatory, Third party and Customer standards, whilst achieving Quality objectives and KPI targets. You will deputise for the Quality Director Flavour Solutions.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
* Manage the Performance and Development of the Site Quality Team at Haddenham.
* Be accountable for all Quality and Food Safety programs within the plant.
* Play an active role as a member of the Site Leadership Team. To provide leadership on Quality and Food Safety issues in addition to supporting Operational activities undertaken within the plant.
* Manage the plant Quality Budget, implementing appropriate Financial Controls to ensure that spend is appropriately managed and cost saving initiatives identified and initiated where appropriate.
* Play an active and influential role in the Quality community for McCormick EMEA
* Be responsible for the implementation of the EMEA, regulatory, Third party and Customer standards in the plant.
* Deputise as appropriate for Quality Director Flavour Solutions as appropriate in accordance with Incident Management protocols.
* Drive a quality and food safety culture within the Haddenham plant.
* Pro-actively lead initiatives to continuously improve the Quality performance within the plant
CANDIDATE PROFILE
* At least Food Based Degree (or consider work experience gained).
* At least HACCP Level 3, internal audit / inspection qualifications.
* Experience in similar leadership role in a food manufacturing environment working within Quality Management Systems.
* Practical knowledge and experience of third party, Flavour solution Customer audit standards and requirements.
* Practical experience in the application of HACCP, quality systems management, internal auditing, pest control, RCA & CAPA management.
* Knowledge of HACCP Level 4, trained trainer, Yellow Belt six sigma or equivalent would be an advantage.
* Knowledge of Risk management and validation protocols (FMEA, IQ/OQ), practical knowledge of Major QSR, Snack and retailer quality & food safety requirements would be an advantage.
* Ability to work autonomously, without direct supervision.
* Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to interact with multiple levels within the business as well as with external contactors and Customers.
* Ability to provide supervision, conduct competency assessments and deliver training.
* Working knowledge of SAP would be advantageous.
* Must be PC literate and have attention to detail.
* Ability to interpret analytical and microbiological data.
* Willing and capable to learn new skills.
* Must be willing to work in a manufacturing environment.
* Ability to effectively conduct root cause analysis and develop corrective and preventative action plans.
* Ability to work strategically and with a pragmatic, operational mindset.
