MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
· Deliver perfect customer service whilst balancing inventory through ensuring the category has clearly define stock management processes and cycle times. Ensure that his/her team effectively manages product cycle times leveraging family planning opportunities
· Chair the Supply Reviews within the IBP process for their category. His/her direct reports will facilitate the category IBP supply review and will support the supply point capability reviews
· Build strong relationships with the manufacturing site General Managers, creating a partnership relationship Build, manage and maintain effective working relationships across the broader supply chain and work hand in hand with their peers in Demand Planning
· Work closely with the commercial heads and external customers for their given category, to gain a clear view of the business objectives and priorities
· Support the product portfolio management process. Will ensure that his/her team reflect the supply chain capability to support innovation and models the impact of innovation on the product SKU mix, supply chain capacity and inventory holding. Will ensure that his/her team provide the necessary information to allow the standard cost to be correctly evaluated including risk and opportunity should the product under or over sell
· Own the mid and long term supply chain strategy for the category informing capital investment decisions. Work closely with engineering to ensure there is an aligned capital investment plan for the category that supports the category strategy
· Have a detailed understanding of the supply chain constraints for their category to inform decision making. Pull together the right senior members of the category team and the right time to facilitate timely decision taking
· Make sure that the team is motivated, high performing and manage talent and succession plans
CANDIDATE PROFILE
· Degree educated or equivalent
· Previous FMCG experience including relevant experience in a planning role. Manufacturing, New Product Development, Customer Service and Logistics experience also advantageous.
· Previous people management experience
· Strong supply chain planning and demand management skills
· Demonstrable business acumen
· Demonstrable ability to solve complex problems and to “think out of the box”
· Demonstrable ability to engage a broad spectrum of personnel to work together towards a common goal
· Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills
