Our client is looking for a Specialist Nurse to join their team of staff in the Outpatients department .
Located in Great Missenden, This is a Full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The Hospital also has fantastic transport links and also offers free parking.
Candidates will be keen to learn and develop new skills and continue to grow their career and applications are welcome from a Specialist Nurse with prior experience in oncology or post operative care.
Desired skills and experience:
Registered Nurse Level 1 / Diploma / BSc in Nursing. Or
Registered Nurse Level 2 – Relevant Competencies for the role.
Surgical oncology experience i.e. post-operative care
Willingness to develop or already hold:
Breast care course / module
Lymphedema management course
Advanced communication skills
Teaching experience
Audit experience
Experience of customer care, including interacting with customers in challenging situations.
Flexible and adaptable with strong interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with attention to detail
Possess a caring and professional patient focussed attitude
Ability to work in a team as well as being able to use own initiative when required
Strong work ethic which includes being reliable and punctual
Previous experience working within an acute healthcare environment
Duties of the role:
Required to work closely with both Medical and Surgical Oncologists
Prepare and maintain clinical records of patient care, with reference to Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC) standards for records and record keeping.
Conduct yourself professionally within the standard and framework provided by the NMC Codes of professional Conduct and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
