Verelogic have an opportunity to join ka well established and progessive business as Network Manager for a school in the Great Missenden area. You will be responsible for the management, installation, maintenance, availability and security of the schools' ICT network. You must be dedicated to delivering a high level of support service in a manner that embraces our clients company values. It is your job to facilitate communication between your school and internal stakeholders, keep up to date with what services can be offered, and manage the accounts of your customers.
Responsibilities:
Customer service
Be the first port of call for all your schools ICT needs
Provide great communication with your schools
Ensure that your schools are aware of and ideally using the customer portal
Ensure that your schools are aware of all of our services including installations service, training and teaching support
Work with the school development team to ensure that the school are getting the best level of service
Ensure behaviour, including appearance and punctuality, meets standards outlined
Be prepared to work with young children
Be prepared to train small groups of school staff
Be prepared to assist with occasional lifting of equipment during installations
Management Responsibilities
Responsible for managing and controlling all technical aspects of the installation, configuration, operation, maintenance and development of the school's ICT hardware, software and network infrastructure.
Provide monthly reports to the key school contact prior to monthly reporting meeting as agreed such as:
o Updated hardware asset register, updated software and licenced content register
o Monthly Backup report
o Monthly patching report
o Monthly review of previous month and forward plan for following month
o Updated operational Risk register
o Updated projects risk register (if applicable that month)
o Project plans (if applicable that month)
Desktop and application support
Manage the installation, maintenance and upgrades of desktop hardware (including peripherals) and software
Support Audio Visual requirements to support teaching and learning
Manage advanced diagnosis procedures on hardware, software and peripherals
Ensure that all helpdesk tickets are logged, tracked and resolved in-line with internal policies and procedures
Manage and support specialist software as necessary
Server and Network Support
Effectively monitor, manage and maintain all infrastructure systems, including servers, storage, SAN, Wi-Fi and networking equipment
Ensure that backup and archive systems are in place and are compliant with the customer and internal policy and procedures .
Oversee the installation, maintenance and upgrades of all infrastructure equipment
Manage key services including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy
Continuity, Maintenance and Security
Ensure that a disaster recovery plan is in place and adhered to
Deploy and maintain appropriate secure ICT infrastructure including filtering, firewall and Anti-Virus systems
Manage remote access to the customer's systems
Support Request Management
Manage the resolution of daily support requests
Provide hands on support for requests when necessary
Quality Management
Control of documented information e.g. review, amend and approve company documents
Customer relations/satisfaction e.g. customer feedback
Ensure any non-conformances are reported (for any mistakes or complaints etc.)
General
Ensure excellent communication with schools, your manager and other team members – calls and emails are responded to every day
Work effectively with your Team Manager to update progress, ensure best use of time
Follow company procedures for placing orders and requesting installations
To work safely and in accordance with the company's health & safety policy and procedures
Complete timesheet of activity within 2 days
Helping to shadow, train and induct new and inexperienced members of the team
Any ad-hoc tasks that may arise
Education/Qualifications:
Strong level of IT qualifications and/or experience
Good level of English

Skills/Abilities
Outstanding levels of customer service
Experience of leading on installations of servers and networks
Demonstrable ability to make proactive decisions when an ICT emergency occurs
Basic knowledge of programming
Comfortable with website interface (including html programming)
Committed to make a positive impact to your end users including teachers and pupils
Able to work independently and good at planning and organising own time effectively
Ability to motivate and inspire others within a team
Ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure
