ROLE- Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
LOCATION- Buckinghamshire
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £35,000- £42,000 per annum dependent on experience (Please advise what you’re looking for)

My client design and manufacture products for various sectors, and they are looking to take on a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, on a permanent basis, in the Buckinghamshire area.

The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

NVQ / HNC / HND / Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering or similar
5 years’ or more experience in a similar Mechanical Design / Senior Design role
Be proficient with using 3D CAD software – SolidWorks with PDM preferred
Previous experience working on the design of components – and materials including aluminium, brass and stainless steel
Be confident in leading two other Design Engineers and running the Design Office – this role could be right for someone looking to step up into this role too
Be proficient with using MS Office
Be able to pay close attention to detail
Good knowledge of different manufacturing processes
Excellent communication skills both verbal and writtenThe Senior Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:

Being involved in the design and development of products
Leading the Design Officed and working alongside two other Design Engineers
Creating both component and assembly drawings using SolidWorks CAD software
Working with PDM
Being involved in the assembly of parts and creating build instructions
Defining the correct BOM’s and creating the appropriate documentation
