ROLE- Design Engineering Manager
LOCATION- Buckinghamshire
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £38,000- £42,000 per annum dependent on experience (Please advise what you’re looking for)

My client design and manufacture products for various sectors, and they are looking to take on a Design Engineering Manager, on a permanent basis, in the Buckinghamshire area.

The Design Engineering Manager will ideally have the following attributes:

NVQ / HNC / HND / Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering or similar
5 years’ or more experience in a similar Mechanical Design / Senior Design / Leadership role
Be proficient with using 3D CAD software – SolidWorks with PDMis essential
Previous experience working on the design of components – and materials including aluminium, brass and stainless steel
Be confident in leading two other Design Engineers and running the Design Office and implementing systems and processes
Be proficient with using MS Office
Be able to pay close attention to detail
Good knowledge of different manufacturing processes
Excellent communication skills both verbal and writtenThe Design Engineering Manager role will involve:

Being involved in the design and development of products as and when required 
Managing the Design Office and two other Design Engineers
Implementing systems and new processes to improve the efficiency of the design office
Creating both component and assembly drawings using SolidWorks CAD software
Working with PDM on a day to day basis
Being involved in the assembly of parts and creating build instructions liaising with other colleagues 
Defining the correct BOM’s and creating the appropriate documentation
