Gardener – Nr Great Missenden
Salary will be between £18,500 – £21,000 pa, depending
Our well established client is a small garden maintenance team working at a range of domestic properties from their base near Great Missenden. They pride themselves on their personal service and high standards when it comes to maintaining gardens and as their business is rapidly growing they need someone as enthusiastic as they are to help ‘grow’ their business.
They are now looking for a Gardener to join their ever busy team
The Role
Preparing and installing new planting schemes
Dealing with clients and working to a brief
Diagnosing problems with plant health checks and providing practical recommendations to clients
General maintenance of exterior planting schemes
About you…
You’ll be experienced in the world of horticulture with a real passion for plants. They are looking for someone with real enthusiasm and a proactive attitude, ready to get stuck in on any project, large or small. You’ll also need to work well both ‘flying solo’ and as part of a team.
Ideally you will…
Have a passion for horticulture and a strong working knowledge of plants
Be an excellent communicator and ‘people person’ with a client focused attitude
Be proactive and focus on attention to detail
Have experience working on commercial gardening projects
Have a horticulture-related qualification
Be able to undertake tasks safely such as strimming, hedge cutting, lawn mowing and leaf blowing, along with regular border maintenance
Have a Full clean UK drivers’ license
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in practical amenity horticulture
Hard working and energetic, with the ability to use initiative
Formal horticulture qualifications (RHS L2) are an advantage
PA1 and PA6a Pesticides Application desirable but not essential
CS30 and CS3 desirable but not essential
