CARE MANAGER – HOME CARE

MONDAY TO FRIDAY FOR 2 WEEKS AND THEN ON CALL AND IN OFFICE 1 WEEKEND IN 3.

Absolute ideal position for somebody wanting to work closely with the owner, management and operations team to take on potentially their first senior home care role with responsibilities. You will be part of a team of 3 Care Managers all supporting the Registered Manager in a fast growing home care setup. This position is perfect to form a foundation for higher positions in your career if you have management aspirations.
Equally they would love to meet anybody currently in a similar role or a person returning to care with experience.

What we are looking for in a Care Manager:
Hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services or equivalent.
Caring and compassionate towards people in need of care and support.
Respect for people suffering from a range of medical conditions with different backgrounds and beliefs to your own.
Strong commitment to non-discriminatory care practice.
Commitment to respecting the rights of service users, at all times, and to promoting their privacy, dignity and independence throughout their lives.
Self-motivated and keen to learn. Willing to seek guidance when needed and follow instructions.
Excellent time- keeper and reliable and professional.
Good administrative skills and computer literacy.
Main Functions of the Care Manager job:
Understand the needs of vulnerable individuals who require care and support at home and the provision of homecare services in line with best practice.
Undertake the care management responsibilities as delegated by the Registered Manager.
Promote and maintain high standards of home care delivery, including live-in care and support.
Lead Assistant Managers and field care teams and provide mentoring support to them.
Take responsibility for field care staff and service user well-being, including safeguarding of adults and young people, and follow company’s whistleblowing policy as required.
Understand of systems to maintain confidentiality in relation to service user, staff and the business.
Understand health and safety matters in relation to homecare services and risk management.
Recognise abuse and understand safeguarding procedures.
