FRS-UK are actively recruiting for an experienced Land Buyer.

As a Strategic Land Buyer, you will be responsible for the identification, negotiation and processing strategic land opportunities in line with budget and forecast requirements. Your duties will include liaising with landowners, negotiating deals and working closely with the planning teams to assess suitability for development and the likelihood of achieving permission for developments.

Key Responsibilities

Land Procurement

* Site searching, via Agents, Landinsight etc

* Initial site assessment

* Review of land packs, Sales particulars, technical, documentation, S106, planning.

* Management of Consultants

* Market Research

* HA Pricing & Negotiation

* Review of land packs, documentation, S106, planning

* Initial technical reviews

* Financial appraisal

* Offer formation and submission

* Agreeing Heads of terms

* Management of technical due diligence process and instructing relevant surveys as required.

* Liaising and management of legal teams and Land Transaction

Meetings

* Meeting with Land agents and Promoters

* Initial Technical review meetings

* Offer sign off meetings

* Land Handover meeting

Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience

* Minimum 5 years’ experience of land acquisition gained in a house building environment

* Ideally you will have a degree in a planning/property related discipline or will be qualified by relevant experience and be commercially minded.

* Full UK Driver’s license
