Are you an experienced mortgage adviser looking for a new opportunity?

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our company that was formed over 30 years ago. We are experts in all areas of financial and investment planning, and mortgage advice plays a key part of our overall services that we offer our clients. We have a longstanding and happy client base, and we act as a trusted and friendly adviser to both individuals and businesses.

As the senior independent mortgage adviser within our firm, you will be responsible for advising our existing clients about their mortgage and life cover options and seeing the cases through from inception to completion. In addition to servicing our existing client base, a high proportion of your time will be spent developing our current and new professional contacts as well as developing leads from your own sources. The role will involve researching a client's mortgage and protection options, advising accordingly and liaising between them, the lender and other interested parties. We have a database of existing client which you can work from and update as you progress. The job is results-driven with administration support provided, which will allow you to focus on what you do best and earn an excellent level of remuneration.

We are looking for someone who has at least three years of mortgage advising experience and shares our deep commitment to client service. You will be a naturally confident communicator, driven and self-motivated and able to demonstrate authority and professionalism and the desire to continue to develop in the mortgage industry. You will be able to share your knowledge of the mortgage market with our clients whilst at the same time be calm, reassuring and able to guide them through the entire process. As the sole mortgage adviser at our company, you will be the go-to expert in this area.

We place great importance on training, and you would be required to attend ongoing training courses and seminars to expand your knowledge and keep up to date with any legislative changes and requirements to trade.

Essential Skills

Ideally have at least of three years' mortgage advising experience. Exceptional applicants with less than three years could be considered if you can demonstrate the abilities required to take on this senior role.

CeMAP/CII (or equivalent) qualified.

A proactive approach, organised, able to take ownership of your work and meet deadlines and targets.

Able and willing to work with IT, including specialist industry software.

Have a good understanding of regulation and how it applies to the role.

Be client focussed, calm and empathetic and be a capable and reassuring contact for mortgage clients.
