Are you an experienced Mortgage Adviser looking for a new opportunity?

This is a great opportunity to join our Company that was established over 30 years ago. As a Chartered IFA firm we provide advice in most areas of financial and investment planning. Mortgage advice also plays a key part of our overall service. We have a longstanding mortgage client base.

As the Mortgage Adviser within our firm, you will be responsible for advising the existing clients about their general financial planning, mortgages and life cover options. In addition to servicing our existing mortgage data base, a proportion of your time will be spent developing our current and new professional contacts as well as developing additional new business referrals. The role involves researching clients’ mortgage and protection options, advising accordingly and liaising between them, the lender and other interested parties. There is a large database of existing clients to work from and update as you progress. The job is results-driven with administration support provided, which will allow you to focus on what you do best and earn an excellent level of remuneration.

We are looking for someone who has at least three years of mortgage and general advising experience and shares our deep commitment to client service. You will be a naturally confident communicator, driven and self-motivated and able to demonstrate authority, professionalism and the desire to continue to develop within the industry. A calm, reassuring and confident manner is essential with the ability to guide clients through the entire process. As the Mortgage Adviser you will be the go-to expert in this area.

We place great importance on training. You will be required to attend ongoing training courses and seminars to expand your knowledge and keep up to date with any legislative changes and requirements to trade.

Essential Skills

* Ideally have at least of three years’ mortgage and general advising experience. Exceptional applicants with less than three years could be considered if you can demonstrate the abilities required to take on this senior role.

* CeMAP/CII (or equivalent) qualified

* A proactive approach, organised, able to take ownership of your work and meet deadlines and targets.

* Able and willing to work with IT, including specialist industry software.

* Have a good understanding of regulation and how it applies to the role.

* Be client focused, calm and empathetic and be a capable and reassuring contact for mortgage clients.
