Our client, a leading Garden Nursery, is seeking a Landscape Team Member (Level 1) to assist with the installation of soft/hard landscaping projects- planting shrubs, trees, associated fixings, timber products (such as decking/fencing), small water features, turfing and garden patios/paths.

You will also be providing aftercare services in domestic gardens and commercial sites, including lawn mowing, pruning, attendance to water features, irrigation set up and drain down, mulching.

Duties of the role will include:

• Handling/planting stock in a safe and efficient manner
• Loading/unloading vehicles
• Management/care of tools on site
• Preparing ground for work/soil for planting/tree pit and other planting holes
• Installing stakes and ties to trees
• Applying top dressings such as gravel, bark mulch
• Preparing for and laying turf
• Installing fixing and supporting framework to walls
• Assisting with installation timber products, such as decking and fence panels
• Assisting with installation of hard landscape products, such as paving and walling
• Assisting with general garden and horticultural care of gardens/commercial sites
• Carrying out basic defect checks and documentation for vehicles/machinery

Special Requirements:

• Ability to work flexible hours
• Previous soft/hard landscape experience
• Professional manner/appearance at all times
• Strong and physically fit
• An enjoyment for working outdoors
• Ability to work in a team-based environment
• Clean driving licence
• Experience using hand tools and machinery (desirable)
• First Aid Certificate (desirable)
• Qualifications allied to landscaping (desirable)
• Willingness to learn the Latin names, planting and pruning needs of the plants (desirable)
• Genuine, reliable and with a good work ethic
