Quantity Surveyor – Required for our client in Uxbridge as part of a Joint Venture on a geotechnical engineering project for HS2. Our client are looking for a Quantity Surveyor with experience in the Piling or Ground Engineering Sector to grow the team.

The Quantity Surveyor provide a full quantity surveying function within a project Joint Venture environment in line with the commercial guidelines and will be responsible for the commercial and contract management of one or more designated geotechnical engineering subcontracts.

Quantity Surveyor Position Overview

Administer contractual terms and conditions for suppliers and sub- contractors
Provide regular cash flow forecast of expenditure for package
Finalise contractor's accounts and close out contracts for the project.
Undertake cost analysis of bid returns
Responsibility for tendering documentation, procurement and payment of sub-contractors and where appropriate suppliers.
Commercial support and advice to office management.
Contract and warranty review and agreement pre-contract.
Understand and deliver the client's requirements, encouraging repeat business.
Assist & prepare in the valuation of variations claims & defence of contras/counter claims
Monthly commercial reporting of profit, loss to tenders to management.
Agreeing final accounts.

Quantity Surveyor Position Requirements

Degree within a Quantity Surveying discipline
Professional Membership of e.g. ICE/RICS.
Proven experience as a main or specialist contractor in a commercial role
Prior experience in piling/ground engineering sector
NEC experience is essential
IT literate in Excel, Word and accounts packages.
Full UK driving licence.

Quantity Surveyor Position Remuneration

Salary £35K-£45K
26 Days holiday + BH
37 hours per week and overtime paid
