A fantastic opportunity to join a leading provider of PLC, Motion and robotic control systems to machine builders and manufactures, More Control provides bespoke automation solutions to customers in the industrial sector.
We are looking to recruit two Controls Engineers, one trainee and one more experienced, who can lead key projects from design to completion. Your main responsibility is to work on customer projects from design stage, through to providing onsite Commisioning or support to Commissioning Engineers. After product training, you will be responsible for the electrical design and writing of control programmes which utilise PLC, HMI, robotic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Familiarisation with Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron and robotic systems is desirable.
Role & Responsibilities:
• Accept ownership of projects from Design to Completion
• Design control panels and automation system
• Develop PLC and Motion control software
• Commission and test control systems and software
• Provide written technical reports and other documentation as required by customers.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience: (for experienced engineer)
• Familiarisation with Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron PLC’s is required and ABB robotic systems is desirable
• PLC, HMI, Motion Controller programming
• Strong Electrical automation / control system knowledge.
• Robotic knowledge
• Auto CAD electrical, or Auto CAD, EPlan.
• You will need to be a hands on engineer, fully conversant with modern manufacturing systems and able to work as a team and also unsupervised for extended periods of time, willing to travel worldwide (for periods no longer than 4 weeks).
