SF Recruitment are working with a successful and growing retail business based in the Birmingham area. They are looking to on board a Finance Analyst, directly supporting the Commercial Finance Manager sat within the existing commercial team. In this key role you will develop a good understanding of the key drivers of the business to enable you to effectively deliver insight, challenge, add value and influence strategic business decisions.

Ideally suited to a part-qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) looking to develop in a fast pace commercial environment.

Key tasks:

– Building strong relationships and business partnering with senior managers and their teams, providing financial insight to support their commercial decision making
– Producing high standard store and category analysis including daily/weekly trading performance, trends and KPI reports
– Involvement in month end activity including the preparation of journals, variance analysis and reconciliations
– Key role in supporting the budgeting and forecasting process
– Assisting with the development of new MI reporting, systems and processes
– Providing ad-hoc analysis and reporting to the business including impact of promotions and events
– Reviewing competitor analysis and retail trends
– Any other tasks deemed necessary as the role and business develops
