Distributed Control System Operator
Salary: £36,000 – £40,000 plus bonus and Veolia benefits
Hours: 48 hours per week 4 on, 4 off, 4 on, 10 days off
Location: Chilton

You will be based in the main plant control room, responsible for the day to day operation of the 54mw thermal water tube boiler and 17.45mwe turbine generator. The shift consists of a team of 3 working a continental shift pattern with 10-day breaks and an 18 day break each summer.

What will you be doing?
Ensure compliance with all aspects of the site Environmental Permit
Operate / monitor plant from a Central Control Room
Provide technical supervision and assistance where necessary for Company and contract staff
Provide effective administration and application of safe systems of work and Health and Safety policies
To be aware of and work within the Company Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems
What are we looking for?
An experienced operator from a Power station background, ideally having completed a recognised Power station Operational Apprenticeship / Training
An understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues
Knowledge of Regulatory requirements
IOSH passport safely certificate or equivalent
Broad experience gained through shift working in a continuous process industry, preferably in a Waste Incineration environment is desirable
