About Our Home
At Chesham Leys in Chesham we provide expert nursing care for older people, including those living with dementia, in a comfortable and homely environment.
Conveniently located close to Chesham town centre, and on a local bus route, Chesham Leys provides care for 62 people and is a purpose-built nursing care home, with residents wellbeing being our number one priority.
We are currently looking for experienced Registered Nurses (RGN and RMN’s) to come and join our nursing team at Chesham Leys, working 12 hour shifts. With highly competitive rates for both Days and Waking Nights, full and part time or Relief Contracts available – there's never been a better time to join The Fremantle Trust!
Salary depending upon experience, with paid breaks, plus £4.00 per hour enhancement on bank holidays:
Up to £20.80 per hour for Days
Up to £21.00 per hour for Waking Nights
Rates include a location allowance of £2.00 for day nurses and £1.00 for waking night nurses for all hours worked.
Relief shifts paid weekly
As a Registered Nurse, your general daily duties will be to:
Ensure that the NMC code of practice is upheld at all times
Act as a role model for all staff and ensure that a high quality of nursing care is provided at all times for our residents
Monitor and manage the health and well-being of our residents
Be involved with all aspects of nursing care, including personal care
Implement, review and update care plans
Medication management and administration
Maintain accurate detailed reports and records
Ensure that residents received planned or urgent healthcare whenever required
The successful candidate will have:
A live NMC Pin Number.
A passion and commitment for providing quality nursing care and the ability to lead our team of dedicated care staff.
Prior experience within a care or nursing home is desirable, if you do not have prior experience you will need to demonstrate a good understanding of the nursing home environment
Experience in catheterisation (male and female), wound care, venepuncture and PEG feeds
A commitment to providing high quality nursing care
Reliable, trustworthy, “can do” attitude, and a flexible approach to work
