Deputy Home Manager / Head of Care Job Description:
An experienced and dedicated individual is required to help run a friendly and comfortable Residential Care Home within the Chesham area as their new Head of Care / Deputy Manager. The home is a small, 12 bedded service which caters for elderly and dementia clients and they are an independent, family-run care service which focuses on providing a high standard of person centred care. The home is located in a scenic and tranquil setting within an extremely rewarding environment.
This is a full-time, permanent position paying £23,000 per annum on a 37 hours per week contract, roughly £12.00 per hour. Previous experience is preferred however this could be the ideal role for an experienced Care Team Leader/Senior Care Assistant looking to take their first step up into a managerial role.
This role will work closely alongside the Registered Manager to maintain the high standards that the home has set and work as the link between the Senior Carers and the Home Manager. You will make sure that paperwork is updated and completed regularly whilst also ensuring that the care provided is of the highest possible level. The Head of Care / Deputy Manager duties are working a mixture of floor and office hours on long or short shifts with a flexible working rota as to the needs of the home and your own availability. Office duties will include assisting with the rota and care plans and the Deputy Manager will also supervise and lead the care team on the floor, stepping in where needed to promote best practice.

Skills/ Experience:
NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care minimum
Medication trained
Experience of working within a Care Home environment
Proficient with: Care plans, Risk assessments, Supervisions, Liaising with families and other healthcare professionals
Head of Care / Deputy Home Manager duties will include:
Shift leading and ensuring a high quality of care provision is maintained
Care plans/reviews/meetings
Working on the floor
