1st Line Helpdesk Engineer: An enthusiastic Helpdesk Engineer with a background in Microsoft technologies is required to join a growing computer services company which provides external IT services for more than 200 contracted clients, based in Chesham.
The 1st Line Helpdesk Engineer will manage incoming emails, telephone and service requests. They will be making sure all incidents and requests are logged, diagnosed and fixed within the SLA requirements and agreed timescales. Onsite IT support and hardware installations will also be required. Once proficient with all 1st Line support duties there will be the opportunity to progress to 2nd line Support.
Technical Skills Required:
Microsoft Windows workstation environments, plus MAC OS
Microsoft Windows Server environments
Microsoft Exchange administration – Server and Microsoft Office 365
Basic networking skills (TCP/IP/DNS/DHCP)
Experience with Active Directory
Microsoft Office Suites 2013/2016/2019
Anti-Virus products and basic backup solutions
Remote access tools (Bomgar, TeamViewer, RDP)
Personal Qualities & Experience Required:
Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Systems
Ideally a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) or completed IT Apprenticeship
Proven experience in a similar environment helpdesk environment
Good organisational skills in order to manage and prioritise tasks and tickets
High level of communication skills and telephone manner, as you will be engaging with clients at all levels
Enthusiastic "can-do" attitude, and to remain calm and focussed under pressure with a methodical approach to problems
