Connect Grp UK are currently recruiting for an Estimator, preferably with residential refurbishment experience to work for a leading high-end contractor covering London’s most diverse exclusive residential and retail commercial fit-out projects. Based in Chesham.
The successful candidate will ideally have a demonstrated background in Estimating within the residential refurbishment industry for a minimum of 2 years. The ideal candidate would preferably be based with 45 minutes drive of the offices within Chesham.

* Salary of £40k, Negotiable depending on experience

Job Description:
* JCT Contract responsibility and review.
* Preparing and collating BOQ and pricing schedules.
* Researching and sourcing materials, equipment and labour costs.
* Collating sub-contractor packages to distribute for quotations.
* Gathering quotes from sub-contractors and suppliers.
* Reviewing and evaluating quotations submitted by sub-contractors.
* Track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly.
* Reading construction and architectural drawings and taking measurements and calculations.
* Preparing and submitting quotations for tenders.
* Helping with bids for new contracts and supporting buying activities.
* Monitoring the phases of project to make sure costs are kept in line with forecasts.
* Valuation analysis.
Skills / Requirements:
* Attention to detail
* A good level of IT knowledge including Microsoft applications
* Building/quantity surveying experience
* An understanding of architectural plans and specifications
