One of our most prestigious clients, a market leading well known British manufacturing brand is looking for an ambitious Senior Buyer to cover the internal manufacturing for their Buckinghamshire site.
This role is an excellent opportunity for a bright, enterprising, and strategically minded purchasing professional to join a company which offers exceptional benefits and room for progression internally.
Key Responsibilities:
* Owning the full end to end purchasing process; negotiating contracts, 'hands on' placing orders, people management and sorting out order/delivery mix ups.
* Benchmarking existing supplier performance and presenting performance indicators to senior internal stakeholders
* Building strong and lasting relationships with suppliers
* Sourcing suppliers and effectively manage the existing portfolio
* Ensure consistent regulatory compliance, maintaining internal quality standards and effective commercial delivery
* Liaising with a wide range of internal stakeholders and teams, including operations, logistics, planning, production, sales & customer services.
* Responsible for the development and implementation of sourcing strategy, taking the lead on major cost-reduction programs, and ensuring robust supply chains.
Key Criteria:
* Strong academic track-record, including CIPS qualified.
* Minimum 4 years' experience within purchasing in a manufacturing environment
* Strong negotiator, hands on purchasing, leading by example.
* Excellent stakeholder management, project management, communication, and negotiation skills
* Full unrestricted right to work in the UK
