The purpose of this role will be to work within a framework to develop, code, test, and maintain cloud applications built on Microsoft technologies.  Further day-to-day activities will include the continual enhancement of solutions build in C#/ASP.net/SQL; Preparing reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of software; Designing, developing, and unit testing applications in accordance with established standards; Participating in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code; Packaging and supporting deployment of releases; Developing, refining, and tuning integrations between applications; Analysing and resolving technical and application problems; Adhering to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on-time and on-budget; and Providing third-level support to business users.

Must Have

Commercial experience in Microsoft .NET development using C# & ASP.Net
SQL Server
Experience with Web Services, Web API, REST and/or OData API.
Visual Studio, or other source control systems such as Azure DevOps Server/Team Foundation Server.
Solid understanding of object-oriented programming concepts with the ability to write clean, quality, fully commented code.
Self-motivated and goal orientated, with the self-discipline to work from home.
Excellent planning & problem-solving skills
Sound communication and people skills

Nice to Have / Will Strengthen Application

Exposure to web development using HTML5, CSS, JavaScript and/or jQuery.
IIS Configuration & Management.
Solid understanding of relational database design and querying concepts.
ORM tools, such as entity framework.
Experience of working for commercial IT enterprises such as software vendors, IT consultancy, or IT outsourcing organisations.
Experience of working in either a Financial Accounting and/or Social Housing environment with associated business processes and applications.
