Senior Fibre Manager – Buckinghamshire
The Company
A full-fibre broadband provider with £250m of investment and are rolling out a 10Gbps FTTP networks with the aim to cover a total of 1,000,000 premises in the South of England.
Responsibilities
*
Responsible for selection of the products used to build our network
*
Set up the quality process and procedures and implement the Fibre commissioning team internally
*
Accountable to deliver a quality network minimising RFSi issues when handing over to Sales & Installation
*
Management of the test systems and ensure compliance across all DL resource as well as build partners
*
Accountable to sign of Primary Node areas to ensure compliance from PIA and Network Build audits
*
Demonstrating a strong understanding of the Health & Safety implications and CDM requirements in a telecoms environment
*
Ensuring all elements of the supply chain have in place the relevant personnel to manage the site safely under HSE
*
Establishing the overall fibre construction milestones and KPI's for the delivery areas that you are responsible for
*
Establish key internal and external stakeholders to the projects and build successful relationships that enable effective network delivery
*
Overall RAID management for the projects, aligning team members for delivering the plan, resolving cross programme conflicts and priorities. Highlighting any issues and evaluating any risk to delivering the projects and on time and budget
*
Collate and report to the Delivery Director the number of properties passed and properties ready for service
Skills / Experience
*
Previous experience in managing multiple large-scale telecoms projects deploying FTTH (essential)
*
Experience of leading a team of project managers
*
Experience of building and managing strong relationships internally and externally in order to influence and drive the right outputs to meet the business plan
*
In depth knowledge of the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991
*
In depth knowledge of the Openreach Network (essential)
*
An understanding of the technical part of the network rollout
*
Ability to read SLDs and plans
*
Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Excel, Powerpoint and Project. GIS knowledge
*
Experience of managing budgets
*
