Astute Technical Recruitment are working on behalf of our client who are one of the UK's leaders in the Environmental, Waste and Energy Recovery sectors. Their Energy from Waste site in Buckinghamshire region can process up to 300,000 tonnes of waste per year.

With five plants in Operation and a sixth under construction, this is an exciting opportunity to join the Company as they expand their Energy Recovery Operations in the United Kingdom.

We are looking for a Project Engineer to project manage equipment & process upgrades across the site. This includes outages, modifications, upgrades and installation of new plant equipment.

Role & Responsibilities
Your duties as Project Engineer will include:

To lead all site based projects which includes plant upgrades, outages, modifications as well as process improvement projects.
Develop project brief / overview and involve key stakeholders for capital justification and tender specification.
Lead the planning, execution and completion of plant outages.
Support with design stake risk assessments and support on site installation, commissioning, defect rectification and documentation ensuring all work is stored on the CMMS appropriately.
Manage all documentation relating to projects such as risk assessments, method statements.
Engage sub-contractors to tender for work, overseeing the quotation & bids as well as negotiating on terms.
Support the operation and maintenance team with ongoing projects.
Working within the Company Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
We are looking for someone with the following:

A relevant technical qualification such as an ONC/HNC/HNC/Degree in an engineering discipline
At least 5 years' experience in similar role on a power station / process plant. This could be Energy from Waste, Coal, CCGT, Biomass, CHP or Nuclear.
IOSH or NEBOSH
Contract management & planning experience would be advantageous
