Product Design Support
£25-26k Per Annum
Location: Buckingham
We are looking for a Product Design Support Technician to support a strong team of Engineers based in Buckingham. This is a long term and stable position with a reputable company.
As the Product Design Support Engineer you will form part of the support team, with responsibility for engaging in designing new products and maintaining and upgrading existing products.
This is a hands-on position, working on site in Buckingham.
Product Design Support Position Duties:
* Producing prototypes and developing platforms for proving and testing
* Maintaining the our part/component database
* Identifying alternative parts.
* Assisting the purchasing team with technical details required for the procurement of components and parts.
* Liaising with external component and assembly suppliers to communicate details of new products and updates to existing products.
* Working closely with the design, production and purchasing teams to manage the impact of changes to products and designs.
* Organising EMC testing and safety assessments for products.
* Continuous improvement of the internal design data management process and working practices.
* Assisting in the handover of designs to the production team.
* Escalating of any unresolved issues.
Product Design Support Position Requirements:
* A qualification (A-level or above) in a STEM subject
* Some knowledge of processes required to manufacture electronic products
* Competence in the use of IT tools
* Good Attention to detail
Product Design Support Position Remuneration:
* £25-26k salary dependant on experience
* Monday – Friday Position
