Jonathan Lee Recruitment are currently looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer for a Tier 1 Automotive customer based in Buckinghamshire. The role entails

Role & Responsibilities

– Responsible for the development of embedded firmware for LED based automotive lighting, typically high technology, low volume Headlamps and Rear lamps

– Working as part of a small, flexible & dynamic design team, with support from experienced electronic, mechanical and optical engineers. Support and mentoring of junior SW engineers

– Supporting the implementation of, and working to ASPICE and ISO26262 systems within a continuous improvement culture

– Direct involvement in projects at every level from customer (some of the world's most exclusive vehicle manufacturers) to internal teams, manufacturing and suppliers

Required Skills

Minimum 3 years experience in Automotive embedded systems development

– Work within with the requirements of ASPICE and functional safety (ISO26262)

– Knowledge of full SW development life cycle from requirements to release

– Experience of specifications review / requirements capture using industry standard tools

– Development of software in C to the MISRA C standard

– Low-level source code for automotive LIN & CAN interfaces

– Implementation of SW functionalities using vendor libraries (Vector etc)

– Experience of SW testing at unit, integration, regression & qualification levels

– SVN version control

– Automated testing and development of scripts in applicable language

– Understanding of automotive layered architecture

– Good team working, communications and problem solving skills.

– Good PC skills including Microsoft Office.

Desiriable Skills

– Understanding of the interface to PCB and vehicle electronics

– Integration with AUTOSAR architecture

– Experience of UDS and ODX parameter files

– Experience of Vector tools – CANoe, vTESTstudio, VectorCAST
