Trainee Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Buckinghamshire and surrounding – field based and travel required

£19-24k (DOE) + callout, full training, works vehicle & package

I currently have a fantastic opportunity for several Trainee Electrical Maintenance Engineers to join my successful highways client. I'm looking for enthusiatic and keen learners, with a basic electrical background or knowledge and some working experience within an electrical field. This is great opportunity to progress your career within the electrical industry.

As this is a highways based position, you will be working outside, alongside the road in all weathers! You must be happy to do this!

DUTIES:

You will be maintaining highways electrical equipment across Buckinghamshire and surrounding. This is field based position and requires travel to various site locations.

Your role will be to maintain, refurbish and repair Highways Electrical Equipment, including traffic signals / traffic lights, traffic signs, VMS (Variable Message Signs) etc. You will be working as part of a team ensuring completed maintenance works are of a high quality by carrying out inspections and completing relevant paperwork.

Full training on specific equipment will be provided if you have an electrical background!

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Basic electrical wiring knowledge / experience
Keen to learn and progress an electrical career on the highways
MUST be happy working outdoors in all weathers
Highways or similar experience not essential but highly desirable!CERTIFICATION

Electrical qualifications / certificates (e.g 17th / 18th edition, 2330, 2382 and other C&G)
Health and safety awareness
Full driving licence
