Estimator – Buckingham – Permanent – Commercial New Build projects 

A market leader in underground pre-insulated pipe systems are currently looking for an Estimator to be based in their office in Buckingham, Buckinghamshire. 

They are an established company having produced a wealth of experience in all aspects of pipe engineering for Community Heating, including Combined Heat and Power, offering a service from conception through to installation, as well as civil engineering works. 
 
Projects carried out for a wide client base including Universities, Hospitals, Schools, Local Authorities, London Boroughs, MOD, Home Office, CHP Providers, Biomass Heating Installers and Private Industry. 

As the Estimator you will be dealing with the process from initial enquiry through to tender submission. Liaising with clients to ensure all requests are met on time, ensuring high accuracy of costs at all times, and maximising order potential through negotiating and liaising with clients. 

Successful applicants will have the following duties and responsibilities:
· Dealing with customer enquiries
· Producing estimates using bespoke computer software package
· Ensuring all tenders are price accurately and within deadline
· Site surveys
· Design pipe routes using manufacturers recommendations and guidelines
· Carrying out materials take-offs from tender drawings
· Assisting in the completion of tender prequalification questionnaires (PQQs)
· Negotiate quotation prices with customers and costs with suppliers & subcontractors
· Carry out sales quotation follow up calls to ascertain competitiveness of quotations and to determine as much detail about the project as possible 

Successful applicants will have the following qualifications and experience:
· Possess a good mechanical and technical knowledge preferably in mechanical services or pipework background
· Very good attention to detail and accuracy levels
· Excellent organisation and planning skills
· Strong negotiation skills
· Confident communicator
· Experienced and confident in both face to face and telephone customer handling
