Procurement Manager (Fleet Management)

* Buckinghamshire (+ Remote Working)

* £55,000 to £60,000 per year

Skills and Experience:

* Proven procurement experience from within the technology sector, ideally with a background working in ISPs, telecommunications, utilities and energy, etc.

* Specific experience working across Fleet Management (ideally)

* The ability to combine professional project management and procurement skills on large scale projects

* Excellent business acumen, cost driven, with proven supplier management expertise

* Strong negotiator, thinks strategically and is commercially driven

* Ideally accredited by the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS).

Role and Responsibilities:

The Procurement Manager will have responsibility for the end-to-end management of purchasing within our client and will assume the following responsibilities:

* Prepare a strategy of procurement to alleviate the shortage and the quality of equipment

* Identify the key suppliers and select the best price ratio

* Working with key internal stakeholders to develop, implement and maintain procurement processes that support the business ongoing and changing requirements

* Researching the marketplace to locate products, services and suppliers whilst advising the company on best practice and opportunity

* Tendering via the appropriate procurement method for any new or existing requirements

* Appraising, ascertaining and screening supplier capabilities to provide required products and services in a timely manner

* Purchasing of equipment and engaging with key suppliers to ensure the product and service needs are met

* Nurturing key relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best prices and procurement deals for company

* Developing and implementing strategies for procuring, storing, and distributing goods or services and maintaining stock levels

* Monitor and drive SLA adherence to ensure products and services perform as intended

* Managing existing suppliers and contracts to ensure run rate costs are regularly assessed and reduced to ensure a competitive cost base across selected categories
