We have a fantastic opportunity for an Internal Accountant to join our client based in Buckingham.
Primary Objectives
*Administer and conduct the timely month-end closing process and accurately prepare month-end reports for management and the US Holding Company according to established deadlines.
*Organise and maintain financial records
oReconcile all ledger accounts monthly including bank accounts, inter company payables and receivables, inventory and deferred revenue
oEnsure timely invoicing of customers and maintaining current accounts receivables
oEnsure timely and accurate cash receipt application and cash disbursements in compliance with authorisation control
oMaintain capital assets listings and the related purchase, depreciation and disposals and organise periodic physical inventory of fixed assets
oProcess all relevant monthly / yearly accruals
*Assist in the annual budget preparation and report actual results versus plan and prior year
*Support annual financial audit and any revenue/tax audits that may arise
*Responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the inventory costing and ledger values through:
oCosting for the receipt of product
oFinished goods inventory accuracy
oPhysical count processing and accurate ledger booking
*Responsible for preparation or assisting with tax compliance for Consumption Tax, Business and Payroll Taxes.
oCompute taxes owed, prepare returns and ensure prompt payment
*Hold monthly meetings with the General Manager to review financial statements, sales targets, collection issues, etc.
*Prepare the weekly sales and open order reports and provide to Corporate office according to established deadlines
*Assist in supporting general office duties as required from time to time under the instructions of the Office Administrator or management.
*Secondary back up to provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested
Qualifications
*Degree in Accounting or 3 – 5 years Accounting Experience
*Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment with strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
*Demonstrated ability to interpret and understand laws and regulations, identifying requirements and related controls
*Microsoft ERP experience preferred
