We are currently looking for a Manager, Business Proposals to join our team based at any of our UK locations. Part-time applications are encouraged (working 30 hours a week).

The Role

As a Manager, Business Proposals, you will be responsible for supporting local Value Delivery Centres (VDCs) throughout the proposal process focusing on local opportunities.

In this role, you will prepare documentation, support price calculation and collaborate with subject matter experts in the UK and Ireland. You will assist with RFIs and RFPs through to Bid Defence.

You will also contribute to the central knowledge base used as the key source of content when responding to client requirements such as RFI and/or RFPs.

Additionally, you will:

– Establish timelines for completion of deliverables

– Co-ordinate and lead group discussions with internal stakeholders relevant for each RFI/RFP

– Work with counterparts in other departments to present a harmonised response to client requirement documents (RFI/RFPs)

– Provide quality control of deliverables through review, verification and evaluation of written proposals

– Conduct quality control checks to ensure the final budget and proposal text meet required standards

– Ensure final RFI/RFP response complies with the stipulated client instructions

– Ensure timely preparation of high-quality proposals

About You

To join us as a Manager, Business Proposals, you will need:

– At least three years’ experience in proposal management and/or pre-sales OR in a relevant technical role (e.g. Regulatory, Quality, PV)

– Fluency in English (C1 level)

– To be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Writer, Teams and SharePoint)

– Numerate and/or analytical skills, with an aptitude for numbers

– Strong time management and organisational skills

– Excellent communication skills, verbal and written

– The ability to work in a team, but also independently

– Demonstrable critical thinking and problem-solving skills and a sense of responsibility

– To be open-minded and willing to work in local and international teams

Knowledge of databases and/or knowledge bases e.g. Qvidian, would be beneficial. An understanding of the pharmaceutical industry would be an advantage.
