Interviewing immediatelyTo be successful, you will be an enthusiastic Science graduate who has previous experience supporting young people and earned at least a 2:1 in your degree. You must have the skills to inspire your students to share your own love of your subject. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and a desire to start a career in teaching.
As a Science Academic Mentor, you will be supporting teaching and learning in the Science department working with Biology GCSE students and KS3 Science Students. Day-to-day, you will be providing classroom support to SEN pupils who really benefit from the additional help during lessons. Day-to-day, you will be providing pupils with the extra support they need to feel confident in the classroom by reinforcing their knowledge in small groups or on a 1:1 basis.
